Hi, I’m Christine - owner of KC Bee Lady. I started this bee business in 2016, and what began as a passion quickly grew into something I still truly enjoy nearly a decade later.

My husband, Jake, is a talented carpenter and lends a helping hand whenever he’s not busy with his own work. He even built the hive featured in these photos, which makes this business a true family effort.

We intentionally maintain a smaller number of hives and are not a large commercial beekeeping operation. My passion has never been managing hundreds of hives - it has always been helping new beekeepers feel more confident getting started, understand the basics, and experience the fascinating world of honeybees.

Over the years, KC Bee Lady has helped thousands of customers begin their beekeeping journey through bees, equipment, workshops, educational resources, and hands-on experiences. 🐝
